Feb. 14--TAMPA -- Teachers from several Hillsborough County high schools erupted in anger at Tuesday's school board meeting over a plan to add classes next year to their workday.
About two dozen teachers sat through a four-hour meeting before their representatives addressed the board about their opposition to the planned daily schedule of seven 50-minute high school classes. Currently, 14 of the district's 25 high schools have a block schedule of four 90-minute classes.
