The Baguio City Economic Zone (BCEZ) expects nearly P7 billion worth of investments this year from new locators and expansion projects of existing firms.
In a report to the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), BCEZ administrator Tereso Panga said the government-owned economic zone is anticipating about P6.7 billion worth of investments this year.
"BCEZ shipped out $3.53 billion worth of exports in 2006, exceeding the exports level of other public ecozones in Cavite, Mactan, and Bataan," Mr. Panga said, noting that export sales stood at $2.95 billion in 2005.
