Jinchuan eyes MacroAsia mining project.

Jinchuan Group Ltd., the largest producer of nickel and cobalt in China, is conducting due diligence in Lucio Tan holding firm Macro-Asia Corp.'s nickel mine site in Brookes' Point, Palawan.

In a disclosure, MacroAsia said the due diligence was an offshoot of the meeting between Jinchuan Chairman and CEO Li Yong-Jun and taipan Mr. Tan last November.

Composed of geologists and mining engineers, the four-man team from Jinchuan will stay for two months before reporting back to its headquarters in Gansu Province, China.
