South West Trains has hired Chemistry Communications to handle its direct account.

The agency was hired to a three-year retainer following a competitive pitch handled by the train operator. Its first campaign is due to break later this month.

South West Trains retained the contract to run services from London Waterloo to South West regions last week. The contract will be held for the next seven to 10 years, depending on performance.
