Japan's regional orchestras are tuning up for an annual event that producers aim to make a showcase of the orchestras' different characters and sounds. "We launched the Festival of Visiting Japanese Orchestras 10 years ago, when Sumida Triphony Hall opened. It was the only event in Tokyo to let people know more about regional orchestras," said Yoshihiro Ueno, producer at the hall in Kinshicho, Tokyo. The event will be held at the hall from late February to early March.
