DSM makes case for sustainability.

DSM is stepping up efforts towards becoming an environmentally sustainable company, which is a key principle of its overall strategic business plan through 2010. DSM's programme comprises various initiatives, including the development of new eco-efficient products and processing technologies, and a shift from use of petrochemical feedstocks to biomaterials. Its development of environmentally sustainable materials, which include those that can be readily recycled or are biodegradable, is still at an early stage.
