THE RETURN OF PRISON BREAK ON FIVE
Three episodes in, and the US drama hasn't disappointed in living up to the first series. A cross between The Fugitive and 24, the first series featured an epic prison breakout. Now the prisoners are on the loose, there's more potential for mayhem. Hidden treasure, the FBI in pursuit and a vengeful prison guard are just some of the factors at play. Let's hope five gets the viewing figures that it deserves for this one.
THE CINEMA SALES PUSH BEHIND PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN
We have a soft spot for any pirate-themed shenanigans, so we can only applaud the antics of Carlton Screen Advertising and Pearl & Dean in promoting the upcoming launch of the final instalment of the Pirates of the Caribbean film trilogy. More than 300 cutlasses (plastic to avoid alerting the police) were sent to media agencies through the post; this was followed up by actors dressed as pirates visting media agencies. A touch camp, but it cheered us up during a grim January.
SKY'S NEW MAGAZINE PACKAGE
Sky has revamped its customer magazine package. Although we're yet to see the fruits of the main Sky the Magazine contract transferring to News Magazines, we are now receiving a bundle of three magazines, including its new sports and movie titles.
