Well, with the excellent South Australian Conference now behind us it is time to start thinking about the next conference in 2008 in Perth, WA. I know, I know, it is ages away right? Yes and no.

The conference team is being assembled as we speak with lots of great ideas to ensure that this conference is the best one yet with a special emphasis on celebrating 50 years of the MHSA. We have a fabulous venue planned in a historical setting with exciting, interactive outings to some of Perth's rich military history locations.

What makes a great conference though? We believe it is participation and attendance with a strong emphasis on the latter and from the initial feedback from those of you I met in Adelaide the WA branch of the MHSA look forward to seeing many members attending from all over Australia.

With the conference scheduled for Easter 2008 it is not too early to start planning your visit. Many of you having family and friends residing in the greater Perth district so what a great way to justify a holiday in WA. Airfares are getting less expensive in real terms with both Qantas and Virgin offering "e-deals" that can be booked online providing significant savings by booking well in advance.
