SARS content that World Cup is a taxing affair Analysts say tournament set to bring in more than R20bn in revenue to the country's coffers Professional Services Editor THE 2010 Fifa World Cup will rev up SA's economy in the next three years and should bring in more than R20bn to the country's coffers, according to tax analysts and economists.

We're very positive on SA, says Johan Troskie, a director at Deneys Reitz Tax Services.

The taxes to be paid by business and industry far outweigh the concessions that will be granted by government, with the net inflow to the South African Revenue Service (SARS) expected to top R7bn.
