Ukrainian MPs say ruling coalition to back president's aide as foreign minister.

Ukraine's former foreign minister Borys Tarasyuk, who resigned from his post on 30 January, has said that President Viktor Yushchenko may nominate one of the following three officials: the deputy head of the presidential secretariat, Oleksandr Chalyy, the prime minister's adviser, Kostyantyn Hryshchenko, or the first deputy foreign minister, Volodymyr Ohryzko, as next head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

Tarasyuk was speaking in an interview with 5 Kanal TV on 30 January.

"The list of candidacies is not limited to Oleksandr Chalyy, Kostyantyn Hryshchenko and Volodymyr Ohryzko, though," Tarasyuk said. …
