Text of report by Bangladeshi newspaper Prothom Alo on 30 January

At least eight ministers and MPs of BNP (Bangladesh Nationalist Party), one of the mail parties of the four-party coalition government, patronized the operations run by militants belonging to the banned Jamiat-ul-Mojahedin Bangladesh (JMB). Prothom Alo has documents that the former telecommunications minister, Barrister Aminul Haq, former state minister for land, Ruhul Kuddus Talukdar Dulu, former state minister for housing and public works, Alamgir Kabir [who later joined the Liberal Democratic Party], the mayor of Rajshahi city, Mizanur Rahman Minu, former MP, Nadeem Mostafa, former MPs, Anu Hena, Dr Salek Chowdhury, and Shamsul Alam Pramanik had links with the militants.

They did not even rest after having links with the militants' destructive activities, they also had links when they [militants] staged a country-wide bomb …
