[Sudanese President] Al-Bashir Tuesday [30 January] returned to Khartoum after participating in the Eighth African Summit, held in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.

In a press statement, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Lam Akol said Sudan has no desire to assume the chairmanship of the AU if there was no consensus of the African leaders on its chairmanship.
