Nairobi has now been put on alert and declared a high-risk area under the threat of a possible Rift Valley Fever outbreak, the government has announced.

The director of Medical Services and the Director of Veterinary Services will hold a media conference on the safety of meat in the city on Wednesday [31 January].

Livestock Minister Joseph Munyao announced that Nairobi had joined nine other districts where possibilities for the disease outbreak …
