Vietnam: Poll finds that public warms to cash cards.

Section: Regional News - More than 1.2 million people in Vietnam are eligible to receive credit cards, according to a survey released yesterday by Visa International and ACNielsen.

The survey, the first of its kind in Vietnam, was designed to gage the public's attitude to consumer finance.

"[It] revealed a positive attitude of the Vietnamese people towards the concept of payment cards, especially in a market that is so cash-centric," said Stuart Tomlinson, Visa International Asia Pacific's country manager for Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.
