VIGNEIS, the nine-year-old who had both his legs amputated last year, was on cloud nine after he was treated to a VIP tour of Brickfields police headquarters and a visit to the Police Air Unit yesterday.

The tour, made possible by Brickfields police and The Malay Mail, saw Vigneis becoming a 'policeman' for a day, even riding in a new patrol car! The visit was meant to boost Vigneis' spirits.

Vigneis injured his right ankle while playing football near his home in Batang Berjuntai, Selangor, last June, but due to chronic gangrene, both legs were amputated on Nov 24.
