There was commotion at a commercial bank in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Wednesday, between policemen and some senior citizens, when three ex-servicemen suddenly slumped and feared dead, after traveling from neighbouring states and waiting for over eight days for their monthly stipend.

The men had been invited to Port Harcourt, from Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers States to collect their monthly stipend in Rivers State. The collapsed men were later carried away by their compatriots, apparently, with whom they traveled to the city.

Some of the men came from far away Ogoja, Obudu and Obanliku …
