Jan. 24--History will record that "Dreamgirls" received the most nominations for Academy Awards this year, and pundits already are writing how shocked they are -- shocked! that the film with eight nominations failed to pick up any in the top categories. So it's less a matter of the movie being snubbed for best film, director, lead actors and script than it is of having a lot of songs in a year when original music was weak.
