Jan. 24--History will record that "Dreamgirls" received the most nominations for Academy Awards this year, and pundits already are writing how shocked they are -- shocked! that the film with eight nominations failed to pick up any in the top categories. But history and pundits sometimes don't pay attention to the details, especially pundits. "Dreamgirls" did indeed receive eight nominations yesterday from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, but three are in the category of best original song.
