Jan. 24--A power struggle among Walworth County leaders who disagree about downsizing the 25-member County Board has reached the desk of Wisconsin's new attorney general, and its implications could extend to Milwaukee.

Walworth County Board Chairwoman Ann Lohrmann, who backed a downsizing movement many of her board colleagues oppose, is being targeted for removal.

Officials have asked Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen whether removing a county board chairman requires specific charges and a lengthy hearing process. That question was put to Van Hollen's predecessor last year during an unsuccessful push to oust Milwaukee County …
