THE weekly Muzik Muzik chart show, which culminates in the annual Anugerah Juara Lagu, is taking a break.

The programme will be revamped and re-launched with a more relevant approach, TV3 entertainment, sports and recreational department general manager Azhar Borhan announced yesterday.

Views from various parties in the industry over the past few years prompted TV3 to give the programme a makeover.

"It is vital to improve the effectiveness of Muzik Muzik in our quest to complement the industry in rewarding composers and lyricists who are often not as celebrated as the artistes.
