Jan. 23--Beginning Tuesday morning and continuing for the next two days, controlled vegetation fires will burn in the Malakoff State Park in Nevada County, the California Department of Forest and Fire Prevention announced.
The fire is seven miles northeast of Nevada City and its smoke will be visible from Grass Valley and by travelers on Highway 20 eastbound from Interstate 80.
