Jan. 23--EXETER -- A U.S. Secret Service agent who claimed he was falsely arrested by two borough police officers has settled a federal lawsuit against the borough and officers for $125,000, the agent's attorney said. William Slavoski, area agent in charge of the Secret Service's Scranton office, filed suit in April 2005 against Sgt. Leonard Galli and officer Dion Fernandes. The suit alleged the officers charged Slavoski with simple assault and other offenses because they were upset he had criticized their investigation of an alleged underage drinking party involving Slavoski's son, Jason.
