Jan. 23--A 12-year-old student from Carmel Middle School died Saturday night of injuries suffered in a vehicle accident along the Big Sur coast.
Cessair Zadurski was remembered by Edmund Gross, middle school principal, as an "absolutely upbeat, wonderful young lady. This is just a real tragedy. Everyone remembered her as brightening their day."
Cessair was killed when she was thrown from a car that crashed in north San Luis Obispo County near Cambria, said the San Luis Obispo Tribune, in a solo accident that allegedly involved drunken driving.
