TODAY'S Malaysia Open men's doubles final, local badminton fans must surely be hoping, is a prelude to next year's Beijing Olympics final.

After all, it will feature the sport's most dominant men's pair today - Candra Wijaya-Tony Gunawan - against the most exciting young pair to have emerged in recent years - Malaysia's Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong.
