For the Beautiful Women at the Questura.(Poem)

 
FOR THE BEAUTIFUL WOMEN AT THE QUESTURA 
 
It's beyond my understanding that you respect poetry but I respect you 
for that. "Scrivere poesia." And I see in your eyes something I have 
never seen. You ask for a poem. This is my poem for you. 
 
   My hands are so black. 
   I hold them up for the dollop of pink gunk 
   and I try to wash it off 
   in the bathroom down the hall. 
   There is black on the door and the basin. 
   There are urinals clearly visible. 
   There was a man using the urinal
