Media stakeholders in the northern zone have spoken against the draft Freedom of Information Bill and recommended that all those behind its formulation be dragged to court for violating the country's constitution.

The stakeholders have described the bill as one of the most draconian anywhere in modern times, saying enacting it would amount to sanctioning a seditious piece of legislation that creates a vacuum huge enough for international espionage to sneak through.
