SHENZHEN, January 15, 2007, SinoCast -- Due to high certification fees, most of Chinese electronics companies, mainly from Shenzhen, are producing illegally Bluetooth products.

So far, the Bluetooth Association has filed lawsuits against several Chinese manufacturers. As China becomes a member of the association, the Chinese government hopes to set up its homegrown standard to change the situation.

Local police detained 94 suspects in the first 11 months of this year for violating intellectual property rights in cases representing economic losses of CNY 100.3 million.
