[Presenter] The banned Algerian Islamic Salvation Front [FIS]'s second-in command Ali Belhadj has said that he submitted an application to the provincial reconciliation committee to be re-instated in his job in education after he was dismissed when he was imprisoned at a military jail in the 1990s.

Ali Belhadj also said in a telephone interview with Al-Jazeera that he was seeking to obtain a passport and that he was awaiting a reply from the relevant authorities. We have with us from Algeria the vice-chairman of the banned FIS, Ali Belhadj. Mr …
