Recently ended pregnancy is associated with a lower risk of tuberculosis (TB), according to a study presented to the X International Conference on AIDS held in Yokohama, Japan, August 7-12, 1994.

Espinal Marcos of Robert Reid Hospital in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and colleagues presented the results of a study titled "The Role of Pregnancy\Puerperium in Tuberculosis Development in HIV -Infected Women."
