Vietnam: Cooperative alliance to build houses for low-income earners.

Section: Regional News - The Vietnam Cooperative Alliance (VCA) has developed several pilot housing construction projects for its low- and middle-income members in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with technical assistance from the Swedish Cooperative Centre (SCC).
Under the projects, permanent housing cooperatives and housing cooperative unions will be set up in 2007 and 2008 to build houses in good natural and social environments with reliable services infrastructures at acceptable prices, said the VCA.
In addition to SCC, the Ho Chi Minh City Cooperative Alliance has signed a memorandum of understanding for the same purpose …
