A group led by a unit of Anadarko Petroleum Corp., Houston, has gauged its fourth large oil strike in Algeria's Sahara Desert.
Anadarko Algeria Corp.'s 1 Berkine East wildcat (1 BKE) flowed a combined 15,275 b/d of oil, 3,745 b/d of condensate, and 40 MMcfd of gas from Triassic and Devonian pays.
Anadarko drilled the well to 15,800 ft on Block 404 in the Ghadames basin.
