TWO Myanmar nationals thought they would have a fun Christmas Day outing at Kota Raya shopping complex.

However, they were stopped by several People's Volunteer Corps (Rela) members who asked them to produce their documents.

Despite both possessing the same documents as they work for the same landscaping company in Taman Cuepacs, Cheras, one was released while the other was detained.

The reason? Khua Kim Thang, 32, was told by the officers that his document was false, causing him to be detained at a camp in Lenggeng, Negri Sembilan.
