Now that City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has formed a six-member committee to conduct a thorough investigation into the causes of milk price hike and to suggest rational prices in its report within 10 days, understandable should be the concern of the city authorities.

Seemingly irked, and rightly so, by the pattern of failed efforts to check the upsurge in milk, meat, and other essential food items, over a long past, the City Nazim sounded determined to do the needful from an objectively conceived approach.
