VISIT Malaysia Year 2007, which will be officially launched in less than a week, is a culmination of two years' of hard work by Tourism Malaysia.

So much hard work has been put in by those in the public sector to make this event a big success.

The response to Visit Malaysia Year 2007 from the private sector is still lukewarm.

Many big corporations and also Malaysians have yet to realise the impact this event is going to have on Malaysians and the rest of the world.

Some are slowly waking up to this realisation while others are not even there yet. …
