Jan. 3--Even as activity shifts into high gear for this week's inaugural festivities, planners for California first lady Maria Shriver continue to have the word "mum" stamped onto their foreheads.

What will Shriver wear?

They aren't saying.

For fashion-watchers, that's a huge disappointment because -- unlike Arnold Schwarzenegger's 2003 swearing-in as governor -- this inaugural promises to have plenty of glitz and glam.

And interest in Shriver's inaug-ural wardrobe likely will rival that about first lady Laura Bush. (For President Bush's second term, in 2005, Laura Bush was dressed head to toe, start to finish, in American designer Oscar de la Renta.)

But because we're only on the outside, trying to look in, we decided to ask local designers Richard Hallmarq and Casey Sue Douglass to come up with their own sketches for what …
