Makerere University Council Installed.

THE new Makerere University Council was inaugurated yesterday. The function, reportedly presided over by the University Secretary, Sam Akorimo, was held in the council room at the campus in Kampala, a source said.
The council is the highest decision-making body at the university. It is made up of 23 members.
The members elect a chairperson among them, but The New Vision learnt yesterday that the new council would, in the meantime, be chaired by an interim head, whose name could not be got by press time.
