Brno, 19 December: The Constitutional Court today abolished the Justice Ministry's decision by which Jaroslav Bures was appointed a Supreme Court judge.

The Constitutional Court said that the ministry made a mistake when it did not ask Iva Brozova, chairwoman of the Supreme Court, for consent with Bures's appointment.

Brozova then filed a competence complaint.

The Constitutional Court had complied with Brozova already once when it abolished her dismissal from the post by President Vaclav Klaus.
