Dec. 17--Todd A. Culbertson will become editor of the Editorial Pages of the Richmond Times-Dispatch starting next month. Culbertson is a well-versed writer whose commentaries have touched on everything from Congress to college life and from Bean Town to Paris. Culbertson, 56, will replace Ross Mackenzie upon his Jan. 17 retirement, The Times-Dispatch announced last week. Senior editorial writer and columnist A. Barton Hinkle will succeed Culbertson as deputy editor. "We have put two strong individuals in top positions in Editorial," said Times-Dispatch President and Publisher Thomas A. Silvestri.
