Dec. 13--University of Richmond football coach Dave Clawson will interview today for the Boston College head-coaching job.
Sources said Clawson and BC Athletic Director Gene DeFilippo will meet at a location between Richmond and Boston to discuss the possibility of Clawson succeeding Tom O'Brien, who left BC late last week to take over N.C. State's program. Clawson was not available for comment.
DeFilippo hasn't conducted any on-campus interviews, though he is believed to have met with at least a few of the candidates. If BC's process follows the form of others, DeFilippo would invite the top candidate to the school's campus later for a second round of talks, this time with members of BC's administration.
