Dec. 13--Faced with a need for more school space, the Iredell-Statesville school board is considering a complex that could house an elementary school, high school magnet program and district offices under one roof.
Board members selected FirstChoice Public-Private Partners Monday to look at building new schools for the district under a capital lease agreement. A capital lease is a form of financing that was approved recently by the state legislature to help speed up school construction projects and possibly reduce the costs.
