Dec. 12--Hanover County's alternative-education program outgrew its current home, a trailer outside Patrick Henry High School.
Soon, its students and faculty will get some breathing room -- and much more.
In February, Hanover will open the Georgetown School, an alternative-education center for at-risk students. The school is for students who have been suspended from regular middle and high schools, or who are having a hard time academically in a normal setting. The school aims to get students back on track and then return them to regular schools.
