US professional boxer Yvonne Reiss plans to stage several boxing fights in Kenya.

On holiday in Mombasa Reiss has however, challenged the Kenya Professional Boxing Commission to adopt modern judging methods to win the confidence of top foreign boxers.

Speaking at the Travellers Beach Hotel, Reiss said she would stage fights in Kenya involving US boxers and Kenyans.

She said there was great potential for women boxers in Kenya but regretted that lack of professionalism within the KPBC was stifling the talent.
