Modem vendors have been in business long enough to have mastered the manufacturing of well-engineered products. V.fast class (V.FC) modems are no exception to this rule. All of the modems featured in this product comparison transmit data reliably and efficiently at 28.8Kbps speeds. Our testing showed that half-duplex performance results were comparable among the products. The greatest differences appeared in full-duplex throughput; however, full-duplex operation is used about one-fourth as often as half-duplex, according to our research.
