UTi Worldwide reported increases of 28 percent (to $946.3 million) in gross revenue and 25 percent (to $316.2 million) in third quarter net revenue over the same period last year, amidst decidedly mixed performance among its non-asset based service segments.

While air freight forwarding posted healthy growth in the latest third quarter ($374.4 million, compared with $341.5 million in the second quarter), ocean forwarding barely gained ($244.0 million, compared with $234.2 million in the previous quarter), and contract logistics was flat ($130.7 million, compared with $125.3 million in the second quarter).
