Just read the new new-Mini article and figure you'll hold onto your old new-Mini a while longer? Want to put a little more into it? Among zillions of Mini tuners out there, one we recently drove was a Dinan.

We drove an old new-Mini Cooper S with what Steve Dinan called "the whole catalog installed.'' Anyone who has ordered Dinan parts for his or her BMW knows that Dinan spends considerable time and effort testing and tuning. Actual engineers are on staff, and Dinan has fairly sophisticated dynos for engine parts and shocks. Plus, Steve Dinan himself is a maniac behind the wheel and thrashes Dinan cars harder than even the average aftermarket-savvy Mini or BMW owner is likely to thrash one, so the whole thing will more than likely stay together longer than some cars affected by the aftermarket.

With Mini a part of BMW, it is now also on the parts list at Dinan. Hence our test Cooper S.
