Section: General News - On 27 November 2006, during his visit China to preside over the opening of the Thai Consular Office in Xi'an, Mr. Sawanit kongsiri, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs paid a courtesy call to Mr. Li Zhaoxing, Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, and held a working discussion with Mr. Wu Dawei, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China.

During call on Mr. Li, Mr. Sawanit stated that Thailand attached great importance to the ever closer Thai - Chinese relations, and the opening of the Thai Consular Office in Xi'an would be another good example of the Sino-Thai mutual friendship.
