Dec. 3--BEDFORD -- The war in Iraq has hit Bedford hard. The town's population is less than 13,000, and two men have already died in combat.

Both men went to Bedford High School and on Tuesday, the school plans to honor their legacy with the unveiling of memorial plaques.

Insurgents killed Army Pfc. John Hart while on patrol in Taza, Iraq on Oct. 18, 2003. Marine Lance Cpl. Travis Desiato died in action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, on Nov. 15, 2004.
