'American Idol' inspiration for Gay Men's Chorus holiday show.

Dec. 3--NEW HAVEN -- Santa Claus has always maintained idol status among all of us believers, but he -- and a few other easy targets -- might be teetering off the pedestal after the Connecticut Gay Men's Chorus gets through with him in their annual holiday show, "North Pole Idol," 8 p.m. Saturday at the Shubert Theater.

The show spoofs Fox television's immensely popular "American Idol" show.
