Moscow, 1 December: Russia "does not oppose a ban on the export of sensitive materials to Iran but opposes sanctions and measures which could influence the essential work of the IAEA in that country", Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said today following the Third Forum for the Future, held on the Jordanian coast of the Dead Sea.
The Iranian nuclear programme was one of the main topics at meetings between Lavrov and British Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett and German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
