The mayor's parlour may collapse after its roof cracked, the Deputy Mayor Florence Namayanja has said.

She said the main building and the mayor's parlour are leaking terribly and require urgent repair.

"You may wonder why my office stinks but the carpet and chairs are wet. The roof leaks for days whenever it rains," Namayanja said at the City Hall on Monday.

"I have already asked the Town Clerk Ruth Kijjambu to budget for its renovation, we can't continue working under such conditions."

City Hall is the seat of Kampala City Council and the district technocrats. …
